Corrections Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
We make mistakes, and we fix them in the open. This page explains how a reader can report an error and what we do when one is found.
What we correct
- Factual errors: a wrong figure, date, name, quote, level, chart label or claim. We fix the text, and add a correction note at the end of the article that says what changed and when.
- Serious errors: where a mistake changes the meaning of a story, the note goes at the top of the article.
- Out-of-date information: markets move quickly. When a development makes part of an article wrong, for example a price level that has broken or an announcement that was reversed, we add an update note with its time and date instead of changing the original wording unseen.
- Minor fixes: spelling, punctuation and formatting are corrected without a note.
What we do not do
We do not quietly delete an article to hide a mistake, and we do not change the published date to make an old article look new. The update date changes only when the facts or substance change.
Copies on our other channels
When we correct an article, we also correct the copies we have posted on our own channels, such as Medium, LinkedIn, CoinMarketCap Community and Binance Square, so that the same error does not stay up elsewhere.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the subject “Correction” and include the link to the article, the sentence you think is wrong, and what you believe is correct, with a source if you have one. We aim to review each report within two working days and to reply to the person who sent it.
Recent corrections
Corrections to published articles are listed here with the date, the article and what changed. No factual corrections have been logged since this page was created.
