How We Make Money
Last updated: 8 November 2026
CryptoNewsLive is free to read, and we publish no paywalled articles. This page explains where our revenue comes from and how we keep it separate from our reporting.
Sources of revenue
- Sponsored content and press releases. Companies and projects pay to publish press releases and sponsored articles. These carry a “Press release / sponsored” label, sit in their own section, are kept out of our news listings, and their outbound links are marked as sponsored. The sponsored content page lists them.
- Guest posts. Guest posts submitted for publication are reviewed and labelled as guest or sponsored content when payment is involved.
- Advertising. Display and placement advertising is sold separately; see advertise with us.
If a page ever carries affiliate or referral links, the page will say so next to the links.
What money cannot buy
No sponsor, advertiser, exchange or project can buy a news article, change a story, choose a headline, see an article before publication, or stop one from being published. Sponsored material is written or supplied by the sponsor and is not part of our newsroom’s reporting. Advertising and sponsorship enquiries are handled apart from the people who write our news.
When a sponsor is also a subject
If a company that pays us is named in one of our news articles, the article says that it is a sponsor or advertiser. We report on sponsors by the same standards as everyone else, including when the news is bad for them.
