Editorial Standards
Last updated: 8 November 2026
CryptoNewsLive covers crypto markets, exchanges, tokens and regulation. These standards describe how every article is reported, checked, published and corrected. They sit alongside our code of conduct, ethics policy, corrections policy and AI policy.
Accuracy comes before speed
We would rather publish an hour later and be right. Facts, figures and quotes are checked against primary sources before publication: exchange announcements, a project’s own posts, block explorer records, regulatory filings, court documents and published data. If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out. If a claim is widely repeated and unverified, we may report that it is being made, name who made it and say what the primary source shows. We do not report rumours as fact.
How we source
- Every article links to the primary source behind its main claims, and screenshots of that source sit beside the claim they support. Captions say where the image comes from.
- Prices, volumes, funding rates and other market figures come from a named venue (for example Binance futures or a spot market) and carry the date and the UTC time they describe. A live figure is labelled as a snapshot.
- We use block explorers to check on-chain claims ourselves. A wallet with no public label is never described as an insider, a team wallet or a seller. We report labelled exchange movements as movements, not as selling.
- We never invent, merge or alter quotes, and we name other outlets when we rely on their reporting.
Causes need evidence
A price move and an event that happened near it are not the same thing. We say what happened and when, and we state a cause only when an official source or on-chain evidence shows it. When the cause is not known, the article says that plainly and does not guess.
Charts and price levels
Any support, resistance or trigger level in the text is drawn on a chart next to that paragraph. Technical analysis is computed from exchange candle data, not placed by eye. A price scenario gives the level that triggers it, the level it points to, and the level that cancels it. We describe where price has been and what the market data shows. We do not present forecasts as certainties, and we do not promise returns.
News, analysis and opinion
News articles report what happened and what it means for readers. Analysis explains the data behind a move. Opinion is labelled as opinion. Sponsored articles and press releases are separate from our journalism and carry a label; see our sponsored content page and how we make money.
Names, dates and updates
Every article carries the name of its author and the date it was published. When a story develops, we update the article and show that it was updated. We change the update date only when the facts or substance change. Errors are handled under our corrections policy.
Independence
Projects, exchanges, advertisers and sponsors cannot buy coverage, change what an article says or see it before it is published. Conflicts of interest are handled under our ethics policy.
Not financial advice
What we publish is information. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Read our disclaimer.
