Quack AI’s Q token fell 25% in 24 hours to about 3.3 US cents on Saturday, 31 October, leaving it 85% below the $0.236 high it set on Tuesday. The next Quack AI unlock, 241 million tokens according to the tracker DropsTab, is due within days.

The slide followed a spike. On the afternoon of 26 October, Q traded near 6 cents. Between 17:00 UTC that day and 02:00 UTC on 27 October it almost quadrupled to $0.236 on Binance’s Q perpetual contract, a futures product that tracks the token’s price. From 06:00 UTC on the 27th it fell back, and the hourly candle that began at 16:00 UTC closed at $0.0555. That is a drop of about 73% in 11 hours.

Did Quack AI say anything when the price moved?

Not about the price. The first post on the project’s X account after the spike came at 11:56 UTC on 27 October, when Q was already down by more than two thirds from the top. It was a short guide to connecting an AI assistant to Q402, the company’s payments product. The next posts, on 28 and 29 October, covered payment requests and an agent-finance feature.

This was not the first swing this month. Q climbed from about 3 cents on 12 October to a daily high of $0.217 on 19 October, then gave most of it back by 25 October. Binance’s volume in the token tells the same story: $7 million on 3 October, $849 million on 17 October and $887 million on 27 October. On Binance, Q trades only through leveraged contracts. The exchange offers no Q spot market, and its spot data feed rejects the QUSDT pair.

Leveraged trading means traders borrow to make bigger bets, so moves in both directions get larger. Binance’s figure for open interest, the dollar value of contracts still open, peaked near $48 million on 18 October. It stood at about $12.6 million on Saturday.

The contract’s funding rate, a small payment that moves between traders on the two sides, has been negative in each of the last 12 hourly readings, between -0.045% and -0.077%. A negative rate means traders betting on a fall are paying those betting on a rise. At 19:00 UTC, 68% of Binance accounts trading Q were long, a ratio of 2.2 to 1.

What does the Quack AI unlock mean for holders?

DropsTab lists the next Quack AI unlock as 241.28 million Q, 2.41% of the 10 billion total supply. At Saturday’s price that is about $8 million, or 5.13% of Q’s market value. The page showed a countdown of one day on 31 October, and other trackers give 2 November. DropsTab says its figures may be incomplete for some funding rounds, and Quack AI’s X posts between 25 and 29 October do not mention a release.

The biggest share of the release, 81 million Q, belongs to the community allocation. Investors and advisers receive 44 million and the core team 40 million, DropsTab says. Unlocked tokens can be sold, which is why traders watch these dates, but a Quack AI unlock does not by itself show that anyone will sell.

Saturday’s low was $0.0262 at 03:00 UTC, the lowest price since 9 October. Q has since traded between about $0.030 and $0.034. An hourly close above $0.0352, the 29 October low, would put it back over that mark. The $0.050 level is the high of the 00:00 UTC candle on 31 October, only a few hours before the drop to $0.0262. A fall under $0.0262 would be the lowest price Q has traded at since early October.

Readers can check the Quack AI unlock themselves. CoinGecko listed Q’s circulating supply at 4.707 billion on 31 October. If the 241 million tokens unlock as listed, that figure should move to about 4.95 billion once the data updates.
