On 18 October, Renzo’s REZ token touched $0.003149 on Binance. Nine days later, on 27 October, it hit $0.005498, a gain of 74.6%. At 17:00 UTC on 29 October it traded at $0.00429, 22% under that high, and the Renzo REZ rally had become a pullback.
How the Renzo REZ rally built up
REZ closed 19 October at $0.003435 with $0.64 million of Binance spot volume. The next day it closed at $0.003909, up 13.8%, on $3.9 million of volume, about six times the day before.
Volume stayed high. Spot trading was $4.3 million on 23 October and $4.9 million on 24 October, and the peak day, 27 October, brought $7.0 million. That is also the day of the $0.005498 high. Binance’s perpetual futures market did far more, $32.4 million on 27 October, roughly 4.6 times the spot figure.
REZ closed 28 October at $0.00493. Then on 29 October it opened at $0.004927 and sold off.
What happened on 29 October
The move came fast. REZ closed the 01:00 UTC hour at $0.004842 and the 04:00 UTC hour at $0.004410, a fall of 8.9% in three hours.

Futures did most of the trading. In the 03:00 UTC hour, Binance’s REZ perpetual traded $1.87 million, against $0.23 million on spot. In the hours before it had run at about $0.3 million to $0.6 million. Open interest, the total value of futures contracts still open, slipped only 5% over the same stretch, from $4.26 million to $4.04 million.
REZ and Bitcoin have not moved together lately. The correlation of their daily moves is 0.14 over 30 days, and about zero over the past week.

Across the full day the gap held. Binance perpetual volume was $13.3 million and spot volume $2.75 million, a ratio of 4.8 to 1. Open interest has grown 85% since 19 October, from $2.51 million to $4.64 million on 28 October, and is $4.14 million now.
What Renzo’s own numbers show
The protocol did not grow with the price. On 1 October Renzo held $125.2 million and on 16 October $113.0 million. DefiLlama now shows $106.3 million. The record was $4.05 billion on 28 May 2024, so deposits today are roughly 97% smaller.

Against that, the token’s market cap is $39.2 million. Protocol revenue over the last 30 days was $24,468 on $151,875 of fees. So a rally of three-quarters in nine days came with fewer deposits, not more.
REZ price levels after the pullback
On the daily chart REZ is above its 50-day average, $0.004002, and just over today’s low of $0.004191. The Renzo REZ rally ran from the 18 October low, $0.003149, to the red line at $0.005498.

A daily close under $0.004191 points to the 50-day average, $0.004002, which is 6.7% below today’s price. Under that sits the spot where the run started, $0.003149. Getting back to the high takes a 28% climb.
