Blur’s official X account posted at 19:59 UTC on Monday, October 12 that the blur.io frontend will be deprecated on November 12, 2026. Binance spot had last traded BLUR at $0.01802 at 19:53 UTC. The first trade below that came at 20:00:08, per Binance’s one-second candles, 19 seconds after the post. Five seconds later one second of trading carried 93 trades and $8,007 at prices down to $0.01780.
The BLUR price opened Monday at $0.01919 and closed at $0.01382, down 28%. By 08:50 UTC Tuesday CoinGecko showed $0.01232, a 33.9% drop on 24 hours, with BLUR ranked #588. As of 08:50 UTC, CoinGecko listed Tuesday’s 08:08 UTC print, $0.01228, as the lowest the token had ever traded. The peak was $5.02, in February 2023.

What Blur’s Thread Said and Left Out
The thread has three posts. The first says only the frontend goes away, the marketplace protocol stays live on-chain and BLUR keeps control of its fee switch. The second says Blend, Blur’s lending product, stops matching new loans on November 12. Borrowers have until then to repay or let their loans default, and Blur says it will then offer a frontend tool for withdrawing assets from Blend.
The third post warns about impersonators. Nowhere in the three does Blur give a reason for closing the site.
The BLUR Price Moved 19 Seconds After the Post
Volume tells the same story as the clock. Binance’s 19:00 UTC hourly candle traded $10,888 of BLUR. The 20:00 hour traded $2.44 million, opened at $0.01800, touched $0.01410 and closed at $0.01519. Sunday’s whole daily candle had carried $164,125, and Monday’s carried $4.74 million.
The BLUR price kept sliding after the first hour. Monday’s 23:00 UTC hour reached $0.01371. In Tuesday’s 02:00 hour the price went through the August 18 low of $0.01277 and printed $0.01258. At 08:59 UTC spot touched $0.01216, which is 32.5% under the last trade before the post.

Blur Booked $47 in Fees Over a Year
DefiLlama lists Blur’s total value locked at $22.9 million, with $22.6 million of it on Ethereum. The same page shows 30-day fees of $0 and 30-day revenue of $0. Its fees endpoint returns $70.8 million in lifetime fees and $47.26 across the past year.
That matters for the BLUR price because the fee switch is the one lever Blur said BLUR keeps. DefiLlama records what that lever pays today as nothing. Staked BLUR on the same page is $268,045, 0.74% of a $36.05 million market cap.
Trading ran far above that cap. CoinGecko put 24-hour volume at $63.06 million. The market cap was $35.83 million. Its perpetual open interest figure across venues was $79.7 million.

Upbit Added Its Own Warning on BLUR Ten Hours Later
Upbit’s notice is dated 15:00 Seoul time on Tuesday, 06:00 UTC. It designates BLUR/KRW and BLUR/BTC as trading-caution assets and halts BLUR deposits. In Korean, Upbit says its review under its listing best practices found weak spots in the project’s business substance and sustainability that could harm users.
The caution period runs from October 13 to the fifth week of October, October 26 to 30. Upbit says it will then decide to extend, lift or end support, and that an unresolved reason can lead to a delisting.
Binance’s 06:00 UTC hour opened at $0.01336, closed at $0.01254 and traded $635,412, against $191,330 an hour earlier. That was a 6.1% fall in the BLUR price within the hour. Our NMR and KAIA reports followed the minutes after Upbit listing notices, the opposite kind of notice.

Funding Turned Negative as the BLUR Price Broke August’s Low
Binance’s BLURUSDT perpetual pays funding every four hours, per its funding info, and the rate can go as low as -2%. Early Monday it sat near +0.005%. Tuesday’s midnight UTC print then came in at -0.8249%, per the funding history. Four hours later it was -0.0823%, and the 08:00 print was -0.3434%. Added up, that is -1.25% across three prints.
Negative funding means short holders pay long holders. Binance open interest stood at 282.1 million BLUR at 08:00 UTC, worth $3.87 million. Binance’s MINA contract went negative in a similar way during its slide, as our MINA report showed.
BLUR Price Levels After the Record Low
Daily RSI(14) closed Monday at 27.8, worked out from 200 Binance daily closes. Every average we track is above the price, the 20-day, 50-day and 200-day alike. The closest, the 50-day, stood at $0.0184 at 08:00 UTC Tuesday. Bitcoin trades above its rising 100-day average, while BLUR is under its own 10-day low, a zone our levels tool calls the exit zone.

Up case: for the BLUR price, a 1-hour close above $0.01398, the high of the 00:00 UTC hour, points to September’s low at $0.01507. A 1-hour close back under $0.01371 cancels it.
Down case: a 1-hour close under $0.01216 leaves no earlier price in the pair’s Binance history to point at, so no chart target exists below it. A close back over $0.01228 on the hour ends that idea. Daily and 4-hour structure both point down, and BLUR is in the exit zone. So the evidence leans down, until the first level above gets reclaimed.
Two dates are fixed. November 12 ends both the frontend and new Blend loans, and Upbit’s caution review closes in the week of October 26.
