The AXS price rose 6.7% inside one Binance hour on October 2, and nothing Axie Infinity said explains it. Its feed that morning carried a game-jam spotlight, the same scheduled post it publishes every few hours.
The clue is the clock. 07:00 UTC is 16:00 in Seoul.
By the morning of October 4, the AXS price sat near $1.37. Trackers had it up between 11% and 15% on the day, and CoinGlass showed a 43% gain over 30 days.
Upbit Lifted A Warning At 16:00
Upbit, among South Korea’s largest exchanges, registered a notice at 16:00 Seoul time on October 2 lifting the trading-caution label on SAND. We covered that reopening when SAND jumped 42%. The notice named SAND alone.

AXS reacted anyway. On Upbit’s AXS/KRW market, volume went from roughly $10,000 in the 06:00 UTC hour to $3.89 million in the 07:00 hour. MANA went from $3,000 to $3.37 million. SAND, the token in the notice, went from $0.64 million to $30.8 million.
Binance AXS/USDT did $50,000 in its 06:00 hour and $2.12 million in the next.

Upbit’s AXS volume that hour was 1.8 times Binance’s.
Prices Matched, Volume Did Not
The AXS price stayed locked across two venues. Converted at the going KRW/USDT rate of about 1,353, Upbit’s 07:20 candle implied $1.224 for AXS against $1.213 on Binance, under a 1% gap.
The difference was where the money traded. CoinGecko’s Markets tab gives Upbit 36.91% of AXS volume, Binance 9.09% and Bithumb 3.58%. Korean venues clear roughly 40% of the token’s flow, and that is where the October 2 surge landed first.

Sunday Repeated The AXS Pattern
Three more steps in the AXS price came on October 4, at 03:20, 04:10 and 06:10 UTC. In Seoul that is 12:20, 13:10 and 15:10. Upbit AXS volume ran 7 to 14 times its 02:00 to 02:30 UTC average in those windows, and Binance volume rose alongside at a fifth to a quarter of Upbit’s size.
Other gaming coins lit up on the same clock. IMX ran 13 to 26 times its early average around 04:05 to 04:20, MANA 11 to 14 times, and BEAM 284 times at 06:05.
CoinGecko’s gaming page puts the whole category up 3.0% on the day, with Beam trending first at 43.1%. This one is a basket move, not an AXS story.

Neither Upbit nor Axie posted a notice about the token. Upbit’s announcement feed carried no AXS item through the morning of October 4, and Axie’s own feed ran to game showcases, gameplay tips, a Steam build tease for Atia’s Legacy and a wallet-migration reminder. We found no stated catalyst for the October 4 moves. The timing and the cross-token pattern are what the data supports.
AXS Price Levels To Watch
Binance’s AXS last price sits at $1.373 with daily RSI at 72.7. The four-hour reads 67.2 and the hourly 64.7. Weekly RSI has climbed for four readings running: 44.4, 47.6, 53.5, now 59.8. We computed all of them from Binance candles.
Price printed a 90-day high of $1.456 on October 4. Above it sit the April 28 and 29 highs near $1.55 to $1.57 and the April 26 high of $1.586, then the April 25 spike to $1.785. Below, the October 3 low of $1.193 matches the zone that capped price on September 25 and 26, near $1.22 to $1.24.

Daily RSI above 70 is a warning about pace, not a sell signal.
Futures Added To The Move
CoinGlass lists AXS futures volume at $200.3 million against $82.1 million on spot, with open interest at $46.3 million.

The Seoul Bid Can Leave Too
The October 2 rotation began with the SAND notice. On CoinGecko’s gaming page SAND now shows minus 5.4% for the day. Korean venues carry about two fifths of AXS volume, and buyers who showed up that fast can vanish as fast.
Look at the minutes themselves. October 2 started at 16:00 in Seoul, and October 4 came in at 12:20, 13:10 and 15:10. Why those minutes mattered, the data never says.
